After owning this domain name for years I figured it was about time that I did something with it.\u00a0 For the last number of years RobPenfold.Com was merely a placeholder with a picture of Elisha Cuthbert leaning provocatively against the side and a screenshot\/link to my guitar tab site, Stratomaster.Ca.\u00a0 I really only used the domain for the email address.<\/p>\n
So now with some time to spare over the holidays I figured that I would put the site to some productive use.\u00a0 I am an admitted music geek.\u00a0 I love great music, concerts, guitar etc.\u00a0 I love to ramble on about this stuff all the time until my wife says “Honey, I really don’t care about this stuff”.\u00a0 She also says I get preachy about music.\u00a0 I am critical of the horrible CRAP that passes for popular music these days.\u00a0 So I figured I would use my site to give my two cents about what I think is good music that today does not get the attention it deserves.\u00a0 I have a special fondness for independent Canadian music (usually rock and “roots-rock”).<\/p>\n
I hope you occasionally enjoy what I ramble about and more importantly, I hope you become a fan of some great independent music.\u00a0 And whatever you do, please buy their music.\u00a0 This country has such a rich musical tapestry to explore but these artists need your support.<\/p>\n
